Chilean Radiata
CFP has South American products available
in many port locations around the US.
Radiata Pine is a softwood that is grown predominately in Chile and can be a substitute
for North American pine panels.
Product Properties
The mills typically can produce products that range in thickness from 5.2mm to 25mm
and in sizes 4'x6' up to 4'x10'. Many mills also produce plywood utilizing core
veneers, lumber core, MDF and PBC.
The Radiata Pine products are usually produced using solid tropical hardwood species
for both the core and the face veneers. The faces are generally produced to a thickness
from 0.55mm to 0.88mm depending on desired finished panel thickness.
